Magdalena Kaszuba started working on this booklet in autumn 2023 as part of Her*Gaze - a network program with artists from Ukraine, Poland and Germany.

For Her*Gaze, she conducted interviews with three people from Ukraine who live in Germany. Her main interest was to learn about their perspectives on the full-scale invasion.


shorts is a series of comic essays that have been published at MamiVerlag since 2022. The artists talk about a topic of their choice in short but concise form.

Magdalena Kaszuba was born in Poland and grew up in Germany. Magdalena completed the Master's degree in 2022, where she*he studied with Anke Feuchtenberger.

So far Magdalena has drawn Comics for RomaTrial e.V., Goethe-Institut and IZS Wolfsburg. Magdalena has co-led MamiVerlag since 2019 and lives and works in Hamburg.
